"Once an experience is fully in awareness, fully accepted, then it can be coped with effectively, like any other clear reality“
CARL ROGERS
If you are affected by stress, anxiety, depression, loss or bereavement, or if there is something you want to change, an issue you would like to talk about, or life situations you need help managing, I want to help you. If you're not sure what it is, but you know something isn't right - my role is to help you figure it out.

We all have different needs. Talking about whatever is bothering you can make a difference to yourself and those you care about. It can change how you feel about yourself, your relationships, career, and life in general.

It is not always easy to open up or discuss what might be troubling you, but I can provide a safe, open place to talk about about any difficulties you are facing, free of judgement, and help you look at ways to improve your wellbeing and mental health.
ABOUT ME
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I have a foundation certificate in psychotherapy and counselling from Regents University and a post graduate diploma in integrative therapeutic counselling from the Mary Ward Centre. I have been a therapist for over ten years, during which time I have seen clients at a range of low cost counselling services, on behalf of NHS Talking Therapies, and in private practice.

I studied an integrative method as I believe it provides the most diverse framework, allowing me to draw from different approaches depending on what a client's issues or needs are as different approaches work for different people.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in media, journalism, music industry and the arts. I have also spent several years in the charity sector, working with client groups including the homeless, addicts, and people with serious mental illness. These experiences give me a good idea of the different pressures and demands that come from working within these fields.

WHY SEEK OUT THERAPY?
Not everyone has a clear idea of what they want from therapy, but some of the reasons might be:
stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence, identity and cultural issues, loss and grief, relationship challenges, family tensions, loneliness, despondency, lack of motivation, meaning, purpose, bullying.
Whether you have been in talking therapy before or this is your first time, I will work with you to determine what is the best approach for you. I have worked with clients from a range of backgrounds, cutting across gender, faith, race, sexuality, neurology, and believe how we absorb and think about our identities is highly subjective and personal.
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT
If you are interested in booking an appointment, email me and we can arrange an initial free 20 minute meeting online or on the phone. This would be a chance for you to get to know me and for me to understand what you would like to get out of therapy. Sessions are in person, but I also offer online and telephone sessions. I usually work open-ended so therapy can continue as long as you would like it to. If you would like to work more short term (two to three months), that is also possible.
